Open a report in the Reader
- Export a Travel Log Reader report from the iPhone app.
- Move the .travelreport file to this device using Files or AirDrop.
- Open the Reader and choose Open report.
If you are waiting for an updated app build, use Try sample report in the Reader.
Prepare a claim
Choose a grouping template, review the proposed groups, then copy or export your claim. Mark the whole group submitted when you have sent it to your employer. Submitted values stay fixed.
Use Save templates and progress before closing. To continue, reopen the original report and then open your saved .travelclaims file under Templates and progress options. Keep both files.
Recording journeys
Allow Always and Precise Location in iPhone Settings and start tracking in Travel Log. Stops of around four minutes are detected automatically. Use Add stop for shorter visits. GPS and system interruptions can leave gaps; you can correct journeys in the app.
Business and personal classification controls which miles you claim. Personal journeys can still have fuel or charging costs.
Subscriptions and your records
Check the membership screen and Apple’s purchase confirmation for your plan, price and trial eligibility. Manage Apple subscriptions or use Restore Purchases in the app.
Keep backups and important exports. Deleting the app can remove its local records. Reader reports are not a full app backup.
